While government boast overhauling education system in the state. Believe it or not, and shocking it may seem that in frontier town Uri of Barmaulla district there is a government school with three teachers having no students.
When Day and Night team visited the Government Girls Primary School Bathar in Education Zone Uri, teachers were caught napping having no student to teach when asked about the purpose of having school with no students, the teachers start penning down names of the students on attendance register. However locals told Day and Night news that since school opened no student have turned to the school and teachers are idle.
When Day and Night asked concerned Chief Education Officer about the school, he was shocked to learn about such school and assured irregularities in the deployment of teachers in district. He said that due to the recent order by the dept that the all deployments of teachers have been cancelled this kind situation has developed.
